BROW AFTERCARE
Please read all aftercare instructions on this page to make sure you can commit to this journey, especially the first 10 days. How you take care of your fresh tattoo greatly affects the healed outcome.
Immediately following your procedure, the pigment will appear dark and intense. This will last up to 3 days and then gradually lighten. It will take 4 weeks to see your true healed result.
The skin around the area will have minimal swelling and redness in most clients.
The day of procedure, you will take a clean cotton pad and lukewarm water to wipe the brows clean. Pat dry with a disposable paper towel. This will remove excess pigment from the area and any unwanted plasma buildup. Do this 2-3 times before bed.
Once it has been 24 hours after the procedure, you may now cleanse with provided antibacterial soap. Cleanse once a day with lukewarm water. pat dry with a disposable paper towel. Follow this step for 7-10 days after procedure.
You may apply use provided ointment on brows when they feel dry or crunchy. One rice grain size amount is more than enough for both brows. If brows appear shiny, too much product has been applied and you should blot the excess off with a dry paper towel.
The goal is to have no large scabs and your tattoo should naturally flake off.
Do not pick or scratch at dry skin or flakiness. this will cause scarring and pigment loss.
Once the brows a finished flaking, a shiny new layer of skin will appear covering the tattooed hair strokes. It even may appear as if the pigment is completely gone. One to two weeks later the pigment will slowly appear again as the skin regenerates.

LIP BLUSH AFTERCARE
Immediately After:
The area will feel a bit sore and will look quite intense. There may be some swelling and minor bruising that only lasts for 1-2 days.
The next day, the color of the tattoo will darken as scabs begin to form, there may still be some swelling or minor bruising
The scab will fall off within 3-10 days depending on your skin and the procedure you had done
The day of treatment:
Fluids will leak from the tattoo to form scabs. You do not want these fluids to sit on your tattoo and form these scabs. You will want to wipe your tattoo every hour with a wet cotton round and pat the area dry to ensure no fluids sit and form scabs. You may ice the skin if it is feeling tender or swollen after the procedure. Wrap an ice pack or a ziplock of ice in a napkin and place on the area no longer than 10 minutes.
Day 2-10
Do not touch your tattoo with dirty hands. Please keep in mind that it is an open and healing wound.
Avoid getting your tattoo wet except for when cleansing the area the morning after procedure. It will make the scabs soggy and easier to fall off prematurely. Remember, you want to keep the scabs on for as long as you can, let them fall off naturally. Don’t pick, scratch or bite off the scabs. Let the scabs fall off naturally. Picking can cause scarring, loss of pigment, or an infection.
Keep the tattoo moisturized at all times with the recommended ointment (Aquafor) while healing. You may moisturize as often as you like and should anytime they feel dry.
Do not use any spf or lip products containing spf on the lips for 3 weeks.
Do not sleep on your face to avoid lifting your scabs prematurely and make sure you’re sleeping on a clean pillowcase to avoid infection.
Avoid harsh cleansers, creams, makeup, or any other products on the treated area until all the scabs have naturally fallen off. Using these products on the area can jeopardize the healing of the tattoo.
•Do not expose the lips to direct sunlight or tanning beds for 4 weeks. This is new skin and will sunburn easily. Direct sun may prematurely cause scarring and alter pigment color.
•Do not engage in any heavy exercise for 7 days.
If you have a history of cold sores, it is recommended to take an antiviral medication to prevent an outbreak. Even if you have never had a cold sore that does not mean you do not carry the hsv-1 virus, meaning you still may experience a cold sore so I advise any client that is worried about this to get an antiviral perscription or take lysine supplements for a few days leading up to the appointment and for 3 days post procedure.
Avoid swimming or hot tubs for a minimum of 4 weeks to avoid bacterial infection.
Before brushing your teeth or showering, protect lips with a thick layer of ointment to create a barrier between the moisture / toothbrush and your fresh tattoo. No whitening toothpaste (during the healing process). Use a small amount of toothpaste. Do not bleach/whiten your teeth while your lips are healing (about 2 weeks).
Again, you wi be applying ointment to the lips several times a day during the healing process. This should be done for at least 10 days post treatment. Do not allow lips to become dry. This may interfere with healed color. During the day if lips feel dry, apply a light layer of ointment. Make sure to dab/press onto skin, do not rub it in.
Avoid hot liquids and hot coffee for 10 days. Drink everything through a straw until lips completely finish peeling.
DO NOT stretch the lips. Avoid biting into large sandwiches, etc. Cut food into tiny bites for 7 days.
You may wear lipstick, lipgloss, or chapstick other than ointment after 10 days, make sure the tube of lip product is new.
No smoking while lips are healing (10 days minimum).
No kissing, rubbing or friction on your newly tattooed lips until after 10 days post treatment.
Lips may be dry for up to 8 weeks depending on the body reaction.
Expect moderate swelling, usually one to three days following the procedure. Scabbing may make the lips feel thick. Lips will fade up to 60% depending on desired results.
After the first 5 days of healing, the tattoo will look patchy. This is due to skin regeneration and healing. Two or three sessions may be required to achieve the desired results. Please be patient. Cosmetic tattooing is a multiple-step appointment process with a healing time of approximately 6 weeks in between touch up appointments.
•This lip tattooing technique does begin to fade after 1-3 years depending on your skin type and lifestyle. Color boosts every 1-2 years are recommended to maintain the longevity and overall look of your tattoo.
•The above Post-Care for lips will affect how quickly or slowly you heal. Mature age, poor diet, stress, smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, age, general health, sleep/fatigue can also affect how quickly you heal. Please get plenty of rest and drink lots of water to hydrate prior to procedure.
